Get to know the passionate individuals dedicated to making Ignite Christian Camp an unforgettable experience. Our team is here to ensure your teens feel safe, supported, encouraged, and excited to grow in their faith and build lasting friendships.
Brianna Arthur grew up in a Christian family and is the 3rd eldest of 9 children. She is very extroverted and always keen to help others in any way. Brianna has been involved in children's programs and teenage camps since she was 13 years old. She sees a need to help teenagers build their Christian faith, build lifelong friendships and create an opportunity for mentorship with leaders.
Brianna is a counsellor and works for Women’s Refuge. She also works as a physio assistant and does a little bit of work for the police as an authorized officer. While working in caring positions she recognizes that communication is a key to teenagers, as well as everyone, in helping to get through life. She has also seen that good support is key for getting through difficult times and having a faith deep in Christ anchors individuals for when difficult times come.
Dr. Avish Petras has been a minister at Riverside Christian Church Whanganui for the last seven years. He and his family came from India and have an interesting testimony of God's leading and care when you follow His voice. He is involved in many ways with the local church and the community. He instilled a fresh sense of unity among the churches by developing a culture of friendship among pastors of different denominations. He has made efforts to reach out to the ministers of nearby towns to make them feel included and supported. The church has been involved in prison ministry through which they minister not only to the inmates but also support their families in the community. As a member of the CCNZ national team, he has opportunities to edify the church at national level too. He is married to Monica who supports him as an assistant pastor. They have two daughters attending university.
